Solarize Savannah invites proposals from solar electric (PV) contractors (“Contractors”) to participate in the Solarize campaign for the City of Savannah and communities in Chatham, Bryan, and Effingham Counties.
This request for proposal (RFP) is for residential and commercial applications. Bidding Contractors may submit questions to admin@solarizesavannah.com. Program administrators will post all questions and answers on this page for reference to other bidding Contractors.

Important Notices
IMPORTANT NOTICE #1: SAVANNAH AND ATLANTA “MIRROR RFPS”
The cities of Savannah and Atlanta have teamed up to run concurrent Solarize campaigns for 2021. The cities of Savannah and Atlanta have both adopted 100% renewable energy goals and pledged to accomplish these goals in a fair and equitable way. Both cities are currently participating in the American Cities Climate Challenge Renewables Accelerator which undergird each campaign.
By running concurrent Solarize campaigns, both cities can share resources to achieve campaign objectives and implement novel components to these programs promoting low- and moderate-income household adoption and developing a clean energy workforce initiative for underserved communities. Therefore, both cities have issued “Mirror RFPs” containing the same terms and timelines. Respondents to these RFPs may bid for:
- Savannah only, or
- Atlanta only, or
- Savannah and Atlanta.
Bids received by the due date, April 16, 2021, will be reviewed and evaluated by the joint Solarize Savannah and Solarize Atlanta RFP Subcommittee, if applicable.
IMPORTANT NOTICE #2: BID MEETING
Campaign Organizers will hold a virtual bid meeting via Zoom on March 24, 2021 at 10AM. Prospective bidders are highly encouraged to attend this meeting to get an overview of the campaign and participate in a Q&A session, however, attendance is not required to bid on this RFP. Register in advance for this meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
COVID-19
Bidders are highly encouraged to empahsize in their proposal the services they can offer to promote safe social distancing practices in the sales and installation process including but not limited to proposals, site visits, contract signing, and company policies in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
