Solarize Decatur-DeKalb invites proposals from solar electric (PV) contractors (“Contractors”) to participate in the second Solarize campaign for the City of Decatur and DeKalb County.
This request for proposal (RFP) is for residential and commercial applications. Bidding Contractors may submit questions to admin@solarizedecatur-dekalb.com. Program administrators will post all questions and answers on this page for reference to other bidding Contractors.

Question: Are the concerns surrounding the coronavirus going to delay or back things up for the program.
Answer: No. Solarize Decatur-DeKalb is moving ahead as planned and bids remain due March 24th. That said, recent health concerns regarding COVID-19 will affect planned townhouse and workshop events. For example, the offical lanuch event was planned for April 18th in conjunction with Decatur Earth Day Festival and activities, however, this event has been cancelled. Solarize Decatur-DeKalb will host a webinar to lauch the campaign in April.
We encourage bidders to emphasize in their proposal the services they can offer to promote safe social distancing practices in the sales and installation process including but not limited to proposals, site visits, contract signing, and policies in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
