Neighbor to Neighbor Solar

Neighbor to Neighbor Solar is one part of the greater Solarize Asheville-Buncombe campaign! All Solarize Asheville-Buncombe customers will receive discounted rates through our group purchasing program but there are also limited funds available to make solar even more affordable for income-qualified households.

Solarize campaigns harness the power of the crowd to save some major green while residences and businesses go green.

The organizers of the campaign will seek competitive bids from the local solar community to ensure best-in-class materials are installed by qualified solar professionals for the lowest price.

The Solarize Asheville-Buncombe community coalition partners consists of Blue Horizons Project, City of Asheville, Buncombe County, Green Built Alliance, Center for Biological Diversity, Sierra Club – WENOCA, Hood Huggers International Umoja Collective, Asheville Homestay Network, MountainTrue, and The Collider, and administered by Solar Crowdsource.

Pricing for commercial and nonprofit projects are based on system size rather than aggregate capacity because each project is unique and may require a variety of solutions. Solarize Asheville-Buncombe features several financing options. With rates as low as 1.99%, and the low pricing offered through this program, for the first time ever in North Carolina, a true “bill swap” is possible.
